Kelly Clarkson (American singer/songwriter) is a well-known American following her win on American Idol's debut season. This win catapulted Clarkson into the spotlight and secured her the contract of RCA Records 19 Recordings, as well as 'S Records. Since then, she has released a number of Studio albums. 3 of these topped the US Billboard 200 chart, while others narrowly missed it. It's a major stars to come out from American Idol. She tried her hand at popularity with diverse musical and theme styles. She often composed songs of her own. The singer received critical acclaim as well as a number of high-profile awards for her uniqueness and vocal talent. Most notably she has won three times the Grammy Award three times. She also has been featured in television and films. She has also written her children's book River Rose and the Magical Lullaby as well as been a part of several charities.
