Sofia Pernas, a Moroccan born in California who grew up in Orange County, moved there at the age five. Her breakthrough came in the year of 2015, when she received her an education from the University of California San Diego. Pernas had a few guest appearances on NCIS as well as Leverage after which she was offered the part of Marisa on The Young and the Restless. The actress, who quit on the show in 2016 got the part as Catalina as a regular on Jane the Virgin. The model, who is proficient in four languages has since appeared in The Brave and The Green Ghost as Hannah Rivera. She also made an appearance on Secret Society of Second Born Royals. She played Lexi Vaziri on Blood & Treasure from 2019 through 2020. Us Weekly confirmed in May 2020 that Pernas is in a relationship with her ex- The Young and the Restless actor Justin Hartley. The star of This is Us Pernas started dating Justin Hartley after her split from Chrishell Stause who she was engaged to since the beginning of November in 2019. News was reported in April 2021, that Pernas and Hartley have recently got married with a private ceremony.
