Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was born in South London, England into a family of mixed blood. Her mother and father are both English. Her family was lived in a housing estate run by the council in the south of London. At the age 14she enrolled in The Brit School. She went to the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained an acting BA. During her time at the school, she was a part-time actor in a number of stage productions such as the King Henry V playing Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights portraying Catherine Earnshaw.
Madekwe began her acting career through a short film called Storm Damage. She has since made appearances in Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her debut film as a performer was that of the Woody Allen 2007 film Cassandra's Dream. She starred with Colin Farrell & Ewan MacGregor. After this success, Madekwe played Elisha in the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN as well as in six episodes Trexx as well as Flipside. In 2008, she was cast as Bambi, the lead role on ITV2's show Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also played the lead character in How to lose friends & alienate people that was aired by Sony Pictures Entertainment the year 2008. Her stage credits includes Little Sweet Thing or Roy Williams as well as Flight Path of David Watson.
Madekwe was a part of Ashley Davenport for ABC's show The Beautiful Life. The two-episode drama aired just the duration of two weeks The CW and then it was cancelled. In February, she was cast 2011 as Ashley Davenport on the ABC drama Revenge. Madekwe appeared in all episodes of the series' initial two seasons as an regular. However, in May of 2013, it was announced that news broke that Madekwe will quit the show due to her guest appearance on the premiere episode of its third season. From 2014 to 2016, she starred in Salem in the role of Tituba. Then, in June of 2012 Madekwe was married to her long-time love actor Iddo Goldberg. They've collaborated on Secret Diary of a Call Girl as well as he played a part with her on the show Salem.
Ashley Leggat, a twice Gemini nominated actress, was raised in a big family from Hamilton, Ontario. She joined her parents, Roy and Patty and four older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley was raised in the arenas and baseball fields because her brothers, who were all athletic, were hockey players, baseball players, and basketball in spring and summer. Ashley could never walk, but she danced. As she was two and a half, she began Baby Ballet and fell in the love. Ashley was enthralled by dance immediately after that. Ashley continued to compete throughout high school in top divisions such as ballet, tap, Jazz, Pointe, Acrobatics, Musical Theatre, Lyrical, Hip Hop and many more. Additionally, she was awarded best soloist awards at all major dance contests, like the International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers, 56-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
