Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actor best known for playing House in Fox's Medical drama House. Born in Wayne in conservative Jewish traditions, she moved into New York City at the age of 18 and began studying theater at Tisch School of the Arts. Her performance quickly made her a part of the scene of clubs in New York. Her performances were so impressive that the local press noticed. She then merged her talents and fame her writing and composing skills to produce a play called Positive Me. She landed her first job at MTV as presenter of Awake on the Wild Side shortly after. After the show ended the show, she began appearing on television and film productions, at first in small parts, but gradually establishing her place as an actor.
