Julie Ellen "Tawny", Kitaen, was an American actress, model and media model and TV personality. She was born on May 7, 1961 until May 7 2021. Her acting career on television began with Malibu (1983) as well as California Girls (1985). She also appeared as Gwendoline in the comedienne film the Land of the Yik-Yak (both 1984) and Bachelor Party (1985). Kitaen was well-known for her performances in heavy metal music videos like Ratt's "Back for More", Whitesnake "Still of the Night" as well as "Is This love" (all 1987). Kitaen also appeared on reality TV shows, including Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew (2008) and The Surreal Life (2006) that detailed Kitaen's struggles with addiction to drugs. Julie Kitaen was the youngest of three children, born in San Diego in 1961 to Linda Kitaen (nee Taylor), an actress and a former beauty pageant participant , as well as Terry Kitaen who worked for an organization that made neon signs. Kitaen was the daughter of a Russian Jewish father and a Scottish mother. [3] Kitaen was raised within the Jewish faith.
