Rauw Alejandro
Raul Alejandro Ocasio-Ruiz (born 10 January 1993) popularly referred to as Rauw Alejandro, is a Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He is referred to as "the King of the New Reggaeton"[2][3] and belongs to "the new generation" of Puerto Rican urban artists. [4] His debut album, Afrodisiaco (studio album), was released in November 2020. His second studio album Vice Versa, which was released in June 2021 and featured the lead single "Todo de Ti". He has been awarded two Latin Grammy Awards from twelve nominations. Raul Alejandro Ruiz was born on 10 January 1993, in San Juan, Puerto Rico and was raised in Canovanas and Carolina. His father, guitarist Raul Ocasio, and his mother and backing vocalist Maria Nelly Ruiz, introduced him to some of his music influences, including Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Chris Brown. 6 For a number of years, Alejandro and his father lived in the mainland United States, mainly Miami and New York City, where his inspiration came from the R&B and dancehall genres. Alejandro and Anuel, a other Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood acquaintances. They both went to the same high school and took part in classes. 9/10/10 Alejandro participated in school talent shows when he was a kid due to his love of dancing. After graduating from high school, Alejandro enrolled at University of Puerto Rico. He was a soccer player between six and twenty. He eventually resigned after stating that he couldn't perform the way he expected. In order to be scouted by the Premier Development League (PDL) He moved to Orlando, Florida. Rauw Alejandro's style of music is Latin R&B and reggaeton. Also, he enjoys the rhythmic pop and ballads. Billboard stated that this helps him stand out from the growing group of reggaetones who are influenced by pop. Presley and Jackson were influential in the beginning. He was later influenced by Ricky Martin and Daddy Yankee. [24He also credits Ciara for his musical inspiration.
